Why #OneConversationAtATime exists

One Conversation at a Time is a volunteer-driven initiative. We are:

• Non-partisan – we do not promote any political party.
• Non-religious – people of any or no faith are welcome.
• Mainly volunteers who want a kinder, more open conversation climate.

We started this initiative because we, like many others, are tired of the harsh tone we often see in comment sections on social media – a tone platform owners seem unable to fix.

Many people want to help but don’t know how. By sharing simple, NVC-based prompts and tools in collaboration with AI, we make it easier to:

• enter threads without escalating conflict,
• show respect even when we disagree,
• inspire others to try a different way to respond.

The initiative is open to everyone: you don’t represent us, just use the material in your own way, one conversation at a time.
